  1. Awesome job, as always, Beer! I was going to quibble with your bracket if you still had Florida State in, as they are 8-11 against the top 150, but I see you have taken them out ;)

I see you added Dayton, I will as well in my next bracket. Really impressed with their profile, as they have 3 RPI top 25 wins.

I don't know how I am going to be able to concentrate during the day tomorrow, can't wait for the UNM-SDSU game tomorrow night. I think it could mean a two-seed swing in the Lobos seed come tournament win. Win and we are likely a 5-6 seed; lose and probably a 7-8 seed.

  2. I think it’s interesting that you’ve pointed out FSU’s 8-11 record against the Top 150. Using that as an evaluator, I think it’s important for me to reconsider all of the other bubble teams that have losing records against the Top 150:

    Tennessee: 10-11
    St. John's: 10-11
    Brigham Young: 9-10
    Minnesota: 10-12
    Georgetown: 9-12
    Florida State: 8-11
    Richmond: 8-11
    Marquette: 8-13

Using the same criteria, Dayton certainly looks pretty solid right about now. If you ask me, the most interesting team here is Nebraska:

    Dayton: 13-9
    Providence: 13-10
    Xavier: 13-10
    Nebraska: 13-11
    Missouri: 12-9
    Arkansas: 11-9
    California: 11-11

I’ll be working on my bracket as the games progress today. I think I’ll have a hard time keeping the winner of the Missouri @ Tennessee game out of my bracket. Good luck to your Lobos against SDSU… I agree with your seed evaluation and I hope it works out for your team.

  3. Yeah Nebraska is certainly the most difficult team to evaluate of your group that is over .500. They have some very good wins, @Michigan State & Ohio State at home, but they are a measly 4-10 in road/neutral games.

I think I will still have them out in my bracket, but the Cornhuskers will inch closer if they can beat Wisconsin and can likely move their way win if they make some noise in the Big 10 tournament.

  4. I am still getting over the depression of blowing a 16-point 2nd half lead, but the sun did come up this morning!

I have posted a new bracket this morning, check it out when you get the chance.
